Submissions of original micro fiction and flash fiction are welcome from writers anywhere in the world.
We publish two formats of short fiction:
Micro fiction: up to 150 words
Flash fiction: up to 1000 words
Submissions must fall within one of these two categories. Work that exceeds 1,000 words will not be considered.
All submissions must be made through our online submission form. Please paste your full story directly into the designated text field (no attachments).
What we’re looking for:
Stories should be self-contained, engaging, and suited to being read in a single sitting.
The Marble Estate Review is built around the idea of reading in motion. Think of somebody riding the subway, or taking a coffee break; stories that are intended to be consumed in the short pauses of a busy day.
There is no required theme or subject matter. We welcome all genres and topics, as long as the piece can be read within the word limits and stands as a complete story in its own right.
